Savoury Mushroom & Meat Medley Carbonara

Ingredients:


• Spaghetti

• White button mushrooms (sliced)

• Garlic (minced)

• Sausage (sliced)

• Beef patty (chopped)

• Parmesan cheese or cheese slices

• Salt (1 tablespoon)

• Black pepper (freshly ground)

• Olive oil

• Whipping cream (1 cup)

• Regular milk (3 cups)

• Corn flour (1 teaspoon)


Instructions:


1. Boil the Pasta: Use a large pot filled with enough water to cover the pasta. Bring it to a boil, add a generous pinch of salt, then cook the pasta until it’s al dente. Drain and set it aside.


2. Prep the Ingredients: Slice the mushrooms, mince the garlic, and chop the sausage and beef patty into bite-sized pieces.


3. Cook the Ingredients: In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped veggies and meat, sautéing them until lightly browned and cooked through. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.


4. Add Milk and Cheese: Pour in the regular milk gradually, stirring continuously. Add two slices of cheese or grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted.


5. Incorporate Whipping Cream: Pour in the whipping cream, stirring it into the mixture thoroughly.


6. Thicken the Sauce: Sprinkle in the corn flour, stirring continuously to avoid lumps. Keep stirring until the sauce thickens slightly.


7. Season and Finish: Add freshly ground black pepper for flavor. Keep stirring until the sauce reaches a creamy consistency. Once thickened, turn off the heat.


8. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Reheat the drained pasta briefly, then pour the prepared sauce over it. Toss the pasta and sauce together until evenly coated.


9. Serve: Plate your creamy homemade carbonara and enjoy!
